HBO has approved the filming of another part of the Game of Thrones series, explaining that the new episodes will be set 300 years before the events of the eight seasons of the series concluded this year.
"Game of Thrones" is HBO's most popular series, winning several Emmy Awards and attracting millions of viewers worldwide.
"I am pleased to announce that we have ordered 'House of the Dragon' directly for HBO," said HBO Program President Casey Bloys at an HBO Max event held in Los Angeles. He added that the series will talk about the Targaryen house and the early days of Westeros.
