Karl Lagerfeld - the iconic Chanel designer

The famous German designer Karl Lagerfeld died at the age of 85, according to the French media.

In January this year, for the first time in 35 years, he was not present at Chanel's Magazine in Paris. At the end of the show, instead of Karla, Virginie Viard, the leader of the creative study of Chanel, appeared, and in an official press release, Chanel announced that Karl was simply tired and could not appear on the show.

Karl Lagerfeld was born in Hamburg, Germany, in 1933. At the beginning of his career, he removed the letter "t" from the surname to make it sound more commercial.

He showed interest in design and fashion as early as childhood. As a boy, he collected clips from fashion magazines and criticized the dressing of his peers. When he was 14 years old he moved to Paris, and two years later he began to work with Yves Saint Laurent. Later he became an assistant to Pierre Balmain, and then a creative director of other fashion houses. He founded his brand in 1961, and for 35 years he was also the creative director of the fashion house Chanel.

We will always remember him for the indelible mark he left in the fashion world.
His quotes are motivating and we decided to start a day with this one:

Fashion is the game that has to be played seriously
