Guidelines for Designers
ULTRABASIC celebrates artists. If you create original art and want it on premium garments, this is for you. The five rules below keep our community honest and our customers protected.
01 · ORIGINAL WORK ONLY
If you didn't draw it, paint it, photograph it, or compose it yourself, it doesn't belong on ULTRABASIC.
02 · NO INFRINGEMENT
No copyrighted logos, characters, song lyrics, brand names or celebrity likenesses unless you hold a written license.
03 · YOU STAND BY IT
Submitting work means you grant ULTRABASIC a non-exclusive license to print and sell it on our products. You keep ownership of your art.
04 · TRANSPARENT PAY
Royalties are computed on net sales (gross minus tax, shipping, payment fees, returns) and paid monthly via your chosen method.
05 · WE CAN PAUSE OR REMOVE
A design that violates these rules, attracts a credible takedown notice, or breaches our community standards.
What we love
- Editorial illustrations, hand-drawn pieces, mixed-media collages, calligraphy, photography re-worked into wearable art.
- Bold concepts that read on a hoodie or a tee — strong silhouettes, considered colour, no clutter.
- Series and capsules: a coherent group of pieces that tell one story.
What we don't accept
- Hate speech, harassment, or content targeting protected groups.
- Sexual content involving anyone who could appear under 18.
- Glorification of violence or self-harm.
- Direct copies of existing brands, films, music, sports teams or public figures.
If you see something that copies your work, email care@ultrabasic.com with a link to the listing and proof of ownership. We respond within 48 hours and remove confirmed infringements.
